“Repetition in word and phrase and in idea is the very essence of poetry.” Theodore Roethke.

Join poet Anna Saunders for a workshop in which you will use the recurrence of sounds, syllables, words, phrases, lines, and stanzas to create intoxicating and compelling poems.
We will look at poems including ‘One Art’ by Elizabeth Bishop for inspiration, then write our own memorable pieces in which we use repetition to create poetic intensity. This is an online poetry workshop that affords you the chance to work with acclaimed poet Anna Saunders to craft new poems and receive feedback in your own home.

Anna is the author of ‘Communion’, ‘Struck’, ‘Kissing the She Bear’, ‘Burne Jones and the Fox’, ‘Ghosting for Beginners’ and ‘Fever Few.’ She is the CEO and founder of Cheltenham Poetry Festival. She has been described as a ‘poet who surely can do anything’ by The North, ‘a modern myth maker’ by Paul Stephenson, and ‘a poet of quite remarkable gifts’ by Bernard O’Donoghue.
Tickets: £15. Limit of 15 places.
