Ancient Relic Returns to Worcestershire for First Time Since 1882.
The mysterious Pirton Stone, unearthed in 1871, will be on Public display in Worcestershire for the first time since the Worcestershire Exhibition of 1882.
This special event, which is completely free, is part of a national celebration, marking 25 years of Heritage Open Days.
The Pirton Stone Open Days will be held on the following dates and times: For those that wish to learn more about its interesting story and the interpretations of the stone, one hour-long presentation’s will commence at the times shown. Presentations require pre-booking due to restrictions on numbers. Friday 13 September 2019 10am – 4pm (Presentation @ 11am) Saturday 14 September 2019 10am – 7pm (Presentation @ 6pm) Sunday 15 September 2019 11am – 4pm (Presentation @ 2pm)

The event will also provide visitors with the opportunity to explore the fascinating building itself: a beautiful Grade 1 listed church.
Refreshing tea, coffee and tasty cakes will be on sale for those that wish to extend their stay and enjoy the surroundings.
