The story of the discovery of Richard III in a car park in Leicester in 2012 is well-known. What is perhaps less well-known is the story of what happened subsequently. Described as ‘The man Leicester Cathedral chose to bury a king’, Revd Pete Hobson offers a unique perspective on Richard’s final journey from discovery to reburial. For Pete, this was a once in a lifetime project.
Pete Hobson is author of ‘How to Bury A King – The Re-interment of King Richard III’.
There was no precedent for reburying a king and the eyes of the world were watching closely. The story of Richard III is one that continues to capture the imagination.
