Pershore River Festival

Theme “River of Dreams”
This year’s Pershore River Festival will be taking place, once again, on the banks of the beautiful meandering River Avon in Pershore. The actual event is centred around the Pershore Riverside Youth Centre. The centre is a registered charity and all funds raised will go towards their important work int the Pershore community.
Musical performances from 2 stages under the direction of Songbird Paula Evans will be taking place throughout the event which starts at 10.00am and finishes at 4pm.
The competitive water based element of the Wychavon Village Games, when teams from competing local villages compete for the title of the fastest katakanu on the water, will be taking place on the river between 10.00am and 12noon.
A funfair and stalls will feature on land whilst quayside visiting boaters will be competing for the “Best Dressed Boat” contest again this year.
Trip boats will take visitors to Pershore Lock and Wyre Piddle throughout the afternoon.
Parking is available throughout the day on King George’s Field, King George’s Way WR10 1QU.
Pershore Football Club’s bar and facilities will be open for those seeking solace from the sun – or just solace!
