Pershore Jazz Club in the Function Room, Pershore Town Football Club – Sarah Spencer’s Transatlantic Band

Sarah’s band delivers a wide range of exciting New Orleans jazz. She has been described as “one of the exciting, new, young breed of traditional jazz players and the hottest tenor saxophonist on the Jazz scene today.”

Sarah started playing on the British jazz scene when she was 18 and whilst living in the US, she was the youngest visitor to play in Preservation Hall in New Orleans aged 19 – some claim to fame!

Sarah has played with bands all over the world. Although her main love is the revival style of New Orleans jazz, she is equally competent and comfortable playing any style of traditional jazz (eg. Dixieland, West Coast, New Orleans and small band swing).

Sarah Spencer – reeds/vocals
‘Magic’ Mike Henry – trumpet
Rob Pearce – trombone
Hugh Crozier – keyboard
Jim Swinnerton – string bass
Graham Smith – drums

The jazz starts at 8.00pm and doors open at 7.00pm.
