There’s Cluedo’s Professor Plum, author Plum Sykes and Radio 1 presenter Ali Plumb. The Pershore Plum Festival is looking for a person, place or thing called Plum to be fruity Plummy McPlumface of British plums. In return, they’ll receive a plumptious selection of plum goodies, star on the website and a VIP day out at the Festival on one day.
The Plum Festival takes place throughout August in the Worcestershire market town of Pershore. A packed calendar of activities attracts scores of thousands of visitors to the region especially for the Bank Holiday festival weekend – three days of food, entertainment and plum fun from 25th – 27th August.
Commenting on the search, Angela Taylor said: “We’re looking for a face for the plum festival – it could be a cat, a child or a cow. We’re open to suggestions as long as they’re called Plum”.
