Ashton under Hill Open Gardens 2022

The picturesque village of Ashton under Hill is situated in the south of the county of Worcestershire, England, at the eastern end of Bredon Hill and overlooking the Vale of Evesham. Bredon Hill and Ashton are in the Cotswold Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The northern Cotswold hills are close at hand and nearby towns include Evesham, Pershore, Broadway and Tewkesbury. Formerly part of the county of Gloucestershire, Ashton under Hill is now in the Wychavon district of Worcestershire.

Ashton under Hill is just west of the A46 between Evesham and Tewkesbury, about 5 miles south of Evesham and near to junction 9 of the M5 motorway.

Our annual Open Gardens event has been running for over 40 years, and has attracted visitors from all over the world, as well as nearer to home in many parts of the UK. Everyone is assured of a warm and friendly welcome, and an enjoyable country garden experience.

There will be over 25 gardens open to view with many other front gardens that can be viewed from the pavement. There will be cream teas and ploughman’s lunches, gardening and craft stalls and exhibitions based around our theme of “The Pollenators”.

Light lunches and cream teas will be available, with teas in several locations throughout the village and a full menu in our village pub, The Star. Also there will be a Fizz Bar and ice creams available in the village.

A shuttle bus will take visitors around the village. We look forward to welcoming you to our internationally popular village event.

Proceeds support the local church and village community projects.

Plant sales
Quality plants from local nurseries will be on sale in our renowned Plantsman’s Market.

£9.00 on the day, £8.00 in advance, accompanied under 16s free. Further discounts available for pre-booked groups – please contact us.

On the day, please purchase from one of the sales points at the entry to the village, the Village Hall or at the main car park; in advance, please purchase via our website.

Ashton under Hill is about 5 miles south of Evesham, clearly sign-posted, just off the main A46 Evesham/Cheltenham Road.
