Number 8 is a thriving community arts centre inspired and led by the people of Pershore offering a vibrant programme of film (with HD digital projection and 3D), live events, including music, theatre and dance, and events beamed in via satellite, such as ballets, operas and the National Theatre Live seasons. We run creative courses and workshops including a popular Youth Theatre, Chance to Dance classes for over 55s, and art and craft workshops. Number 8 is a fantastic purpose built venue with a 250 seat auditorium, changing rooms, dance studio space, meeting room, and a coffee bar/licensed bar, and gallery. The centre is home to Pershore Operatic and Dramatic Society (PODS) an amateur company who produce top quality shows twice a year. Number 8 also hosts a range of arts and leisure activities organised by community hirers and offers space to hire for conferences, classes, meetings or events.

A registered charity governed by a Board of Trustees Number 8 is managed by a small team of paid staff and over 250 volunteers. Fully integrated into the community Number 8 was inspired by the local community, realised by the local community and is now supported by them operationally and as attendees.

Number 8’s reputation has grown beyond the boundaries of its core audience and it has become known for its spirit and provision. We aim to stay responsive to the needs of the community and to offer a high quality, friendly and diverse arts experience to all.

Number 8 is open Monday to Saturday, 10am – 4pm and from 6pm on performance evenings.
