When we think about or hear people talking about going on retreat our mind is often transported to places that are far off the beaten track possibly with a big price tag attached. But what if you could find some inner peace a lot closer to home and without having to dig deep into your pockets? Well that’s exactly what Alex Bannard has created and it’s right here in Evesham, ‘A Retreat on your Street’.

Alex is a local yoga teacher, mindfulness coach & menopause mentor who taught in Europe & Asia before moving to Evesham. Alex is passionate about supporting her community, creating a sense of connection & collaboration.  Alex runs yoga classes in Evesham, supports local businesses & schools with wellbeing initiatives, hosts free women’s circles, menopause meet-ups & workshops.

The first event of its kind in Evesham is being held at the Unitarian Chapel, an oasis in the middle of Evesham. Having recently had a long-awaited face-lift and now a beautiful setting, the Chapel is keen to re-establish itself as a wellbeing centre for the community. Mark Hutchinson, Chapel Minister & local advocate for mental health has worked with Alex to bring together this wonderful opportunity.

The event begins on the evening of Friday 22 September through to Saturday evening offering a range of different workshops. A Saturday General Admission ticket costs just £5, this permits entrance to any of the 12 15-minute ‘taster sessions’ and to three longer workshops. If you’ve ever been curious about wellbeing practices or perhaps you are feeling stressed at the moment this is a great opportunity to find something to support you.

Throughout the day different practitioners will be offering mind travels, vision boarding, creating healing wreaths, Eco Nidra, anxiety management techniques, quantum mastery, sound healing, yoga practices and menopause workshops.
