Chance Findings

While researching family history, many findings emerge from hours poring over documents, searching online or talking to people. However we discover our information, there is always a thrill. Perhaps the most thrilling though are those chance findings that you discover unexpectedly and in very random ways and which can sometimes change the course of your family story.

Keen family historians, Sue Ablett, Galen Bartholomew and Noelle Chambers, share some fascinating examples of their chance findings.
