Worcestershire offers Fans of the Archers the opportunity to visit some of the places reputed to be the fictional locations featured in the long running BBC series about “farming folk”. The tour takes us around Bredon Hill, though Ashton Under Hill, one of Godfrey Basely, (the original creator and producer of the Archers) favourite. A refreshment stop at the Old Bull in Inkberrow is fun, with photographs hanging in the bar showing some of the cast from the show. Later we will make a stop in Pershore for lunch. After lunch we will travel to Hanbury Church, the location for many of the Archers Weddings, before finally heading back to the starting point at the Valley country in Evesham. Your guide will reveal lots of interesting facts about the series, the writers, and characters, and may even name Joe Grundy’s pet turkey, which he ate for Christmas dinner in 2002.
